MG Physalis Coating ver.

RX-78GP02A Gundam, code-named “Physalis” is a mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083.

(info from MAHQ and wikipedia)
In the series, the Earth Federation has contracted a private company, Anaheim Electronics, to develop a series of new Gundam-model mobile suits to serve as conceptual testbeds for new and improved mobile suit technology in military reconstruction following the devastating One Year War. RX-78GP02A Gundam, code-named “Physalis” is one of the first prototypes to developed at Anaheim’s Von Braun City lunar factory along with another prototype, the RX-78GP01 Gundam “Zephyranthes”.
RX-78GP02A carried extensive heat and radiation shielding to protect it from nuclear blasts, as well as the standard Federation mobile suit armaments. Mounted on the shoulders of the Physalis were a set of high power thrusters, which contributed to the exceptional maneuverability of the MS.

In the story of Mobile Suit Gundam 0083, the Albion collected both the RX-78GP01 and the RX-78GP02A, shipping them to Torrington Base in Australia for terrestrial testing. However, former Zeon Ace pilot Anavel Gato stole the RX-78GP02A right after a nuclear missile had been loaded into it. Later he used it to destroy or disable two-thirds of the Earth Federation space fleet at the Naval Review at Konpei Island. Finally, the RX-78GP02A and the RX-78GP01Fb engaged in a fierce battle, eventually resulting in the destruction of both units.
